McBride has modified the packaging of its ‘Actiff gel’ detergent product. Even though the 1,5 litre bottle is still made of plastic (polypropylene), the packaging now weighs only 55 grams instead of the previous 75 grams. This represents a 27% weight reduction.
McBride has also adapted the cardboard group packaging. The bottles are now packed nine to a cardboard box rather than six. Following adaptations to the primary and secondary packaging, 486 bottles can now be stacked onto a pallet instead of 360. The saving in transport amounts to 35%.
